This degree prepares students for first-level positions as technical nurses in hospitals or comparable healthcare facilities. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Exam for registered nursing. This degree is designed specifically for registered nurses with AAS degrees or diploma-school graduates. Operating under the academic jurisdiction of the College of Nursing, the program provides students with improced career potential. The program is offered as a part-time, evening program. Courses requiring laboratory facilities are offered at the Brookdale campus in Lincroft. Offered by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

This program allows students to develop a technical specialty at the bachelor ’s degree level to supplement an allied health-related associate degree. Students are prepared through classroom instruction and field experience for careers in educational and administrative positions in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, and other types of organizations involved in health care. Offered by Montclair State University.

This program prepares students to be advanced-practice nurses, such as nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists. Students engage in practice and leadership roles in primary care or acute care in hospitals, clinics,community settings and other healthcare environments. The curriculum includes core coursework and seven specialty clinical options. All core coursework can be completed at the Western Monmouth Higher Education Center or on-line.
